Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have reportedly married.

The couple tied the knot at their Los Angeles home on Tuesday (February 3) in a private ceremony, according to US reports.

A more large-scale wedding ceremony for family and friends will reportedly take place over the weekend on the actor's private island in the Bahamas.

Depp and Heard's romance started in 2012 after they worked together on The Rum Diary.

The romance reportedly began shortly after Depp ended his long-term relationshipwith French singer-actress Vanessa Paradis.

Depp and Paradis had two children together during their 14-year partnership, with daughter Lily-Rose Depp now beginning an acting career.
