The director of "School of Rock," Richard Linklater, has expressed his willingness to consider a sequel under one specific condition. In an exclusive interview with UNILAD, Linklater entertained the possibility of revisiting the fan-favorite film, echoing Jack Black's earlier statement that he's open to reprising his role. Black, who previously mentioned his openness to return as 'Schnayblay,' emphasized his enthusiasm for rocking out once more. He even playfully suggested the title "School of Rock 2: Electric Boogaloo." However, both Black and Linklater agree on one condition: bringing back writer Mike White. While White's commitments make this challenging, Linklater's response suggests a sequel isn't entirely off the table. He stressed the importance of a compelling idea, citing the success of previous collaborations like the "Before" series. With Linklater's direction and Black's charisma, a sequel could be in the cards if a solid concept emerges.
