In the realm of love, age is often seen as an important factor. However, for the iconic Cher, age is merely a footnote in her romance with music producer Alexander "A.E." Edwards, who happens to be 40 years her junior.
The 77-year-old superstar recently shared her sentiments about the age gap, shedding light on the delightful dynamics of their relationship. "I hate to talk about how happy I am, but no, we have a great time together. We can talk music. We can talk about everything. He’s got a great sense of humor, he’s got the cutest son in the world, ever… We just get each other," Cher candidly revealed.
Despite the years that separate them, Cher finds common ground with her younger partner. She playfully described Alexander as "reserved" and "more obviously shy" compared to her vibrant persona. It seems their differences in disposition only add to the colorful tapestry of their connection.
Yet, every now and then, the age gap does make an appearance in their conversations. Cher humorously recounted a recent moment, saying, "Sometimes I’m talking to him and he has no idea who I’m talking about. The other day, I said, ‘Do you know who, I don’t know, Clark Gable, [is]?’ Somebody said, ‘Yes, of course,’ but most of my references… He’ll look at me and go, ‘I wasn’t born yet.’".
