Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, shared some positive news about her health on Monday. She no longer suffers from constant coughing, which had been plaguing her previously due to a lung infection.
In an update posted on Paramore's Discord server, Williams expressed her relief at feeling better. She mentioned that while her stomach still feels the effects of the ten different medications she had to take, she's grateful that she no longer experiences continuous coughing. During her recovery, she spent most of her time resting, watching TV shows, documentaries, and movies, and scrolling through her phone. She admitted that her phone use reached what she humorously described as a "DISGUSTING" level.
Williams also shared that she and her bandmates have taken a break from touring and are currently in Los Angeles, where they are working on new music. She mentioned their plans to continue recording once they return to their home base in Nashville.
Despite the positive aspects of being off the road, Williams acknowledged that she has become overly reliant on social media, referring to herself as being "chronically online." She reached out to her Discord followers to see if they could relate to her struggles with excessive social media use, mentioning how it often starts innocently but can become overwhelming, even though she enjoys connecting with fans and the sense of community it provides.
