Iggy Azalea is sharing the reason behind the abrupt end of her recent performance in Saudi Arabia.
During her headline performance at the Gamers8 e-sports event in Boulevard Riyadh City, the 33-year-old rapper experienced a wardrobe malfunction when her pants split open. Consequently, she was unable to finish the show as local authorities intervened, as she explained on X (formerly Twitter).
Addressing her Saudi Arabian fans, Azalea wrote, "To everyone at the show tonight in Saudi Arabia... I LOVE YOU." She went on to apologize for not being able to complete her performance and clarified that it wasn't the fault of the show's organizers. She praised them as "amazing people" and emphasized that they, along with the audience, wanted the show to continue. However, authorities intervened due to her pants splitting incident.
In response to a fan's question about changing pants, Azalea mentioned that she did change her pants but also made a comment on stage that upset the authorities. She explained, "I also said, 'Ladies make some noise, it’s a woman’s world.' I’m cool. I just didn’t want the fans to be sad or angry at the show organizers because it wasn't their or my fault. It was the police at the side of the stage."
In summary, Iggy Azalea revealed that her Saudi Arabia performance ended early due to a wardrobe malfunction and a comment she made on stage, which led authorities to intervene.
