When asked if he'd consider performing at the Super Bowl, Sheeran recalled a past discussion about him joining someone else, like when Coldplay performed and he could play "Thinking Out Loud." He explained that he doesn't fit the extravagant style of performers like Prince, Michael Jackson, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, or The Weeknd, who set the bar for these shows with dancers, fireworks, and more.

He humorously suggested wearing sparkles for added "pizazz," but he emphasized that he'd only do it as a guest performer. The artist for the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime show hasn't been revealed yet. In the previous year, Rihanna took the stage for the Halftime show performance.
