Travis Scott Offers Sneak Peek of First Tour Since 2021 Astroworld Tragedy, Unveils 'Utopia: Circus Maximus' Tour for US and Europe
Hip-hop sensation Travis Scott has given fans a glimpse of his upcoming tour, marking his return to the stage after the devastating Astroworld incident in 2021, where 10 concertgoers lost their lives.
The dynamic artist took to Instagram to share the exciting news, hinting at the forthcoming 'Utopia: Circus Maximus tour,' set to sweep across both the United States and Europe.
This marks Travis Scott's comeback tour after a tragic event during a concert, which resulted in eight deaths from a crowd crush and two others passing away in the days following due to "compressive asphyxiation" caused by external pressure.
Although specific tour dates are yet to be disclosed, the announcement follows Travis' electrifying performance at the historic Circus Maximus in Rome, where he thrilled 60,000 fans and even brought out fellow rapper Kanye West.
The tour is a celebration of Travis' latest album 'Utopia,' a massive hit in 2023, amassing an impressive 500,000 album units sold in its debut week and an astounding 650 million global streams. This accomplishment has surpassed the initial streaming numbers of any other rap album released this year.
