The big announcement came from Big Hit Music, BTS' record label, via social media. They shared a teaser video along with the album's release date, which is set for September 8. The album will comprise six tracks: "Rainy Days," "Blue," "Love Me Again," "Slow Dancing," "For Us," and "Slow Dancing." Ahead of this news, it was revealed last week that V collaborated with Min Hee-jin, the creative director of NewJeans, for this album, as reported by NME. Following the surprising news of BTS' temporary hiatus, fans were curious about the group's future. Would this be a pause in their activities, or would they explore solo ventures? It turns out the latter is the case, as other BTS members—Jung Kook, Jimin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, and Jin—have also ventured into solo projects. V's previous solo works encompass tracks like "Stigma," "Singularity," "Winter Bear," "Inner Child," and "Christmas Tree." The news of his upcoming debut solo album arrives shortly after V was named the newest global ambassador for Cartier. He joins an esteemed lineup of ambassadors, which includes Jackson Wang, Elle Fanning, Rami Malek, and Willow Smith, among others. Senior Vice-president and Chief Marketing Officer, Arnaud Carrez, elaborated on the choice of V as Cartier's ambassador: "V naturally embodies the allure and aura of the panther. He possesses the captivating presence and strength of character. His choices reflect creativity as a dancer, musician, and art enthusiast. His unique style and elegance are truly his own." So, V's solo journey is set to take flight with "Layover," an album that holds great promise and excitement for both fans and music enthusiasts alike.
