She didn't hesitate to let the show's producers, Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels, know that she would be part of the project if they agreed to support her music journey. She candidly shared, "I said, I know you guys are big shots at SNL. So, I'm in if you'll help me with my music career for life. And they came through. This whole thing was a means to make my music dream come true. It took a bit of time."

Rapp also opened up about feeling discouraged by her own team, who wanted her to focus mainly on acting. She explained, "They had their own interests, you know. But to me, it wasn't just about a lack of support. It started feeling like they were being harsh. I'd receive messages that felt hurtful, claiming they've done everything for me and demanding more respect."

She emphasized that her true passion lies in her music, and that's where her heart is set.
