The familiar streets of Riverdale are soon saying goodbye to its beloved characters. The exciting drama series that has kept us glued to the screen is coming to an end. Riverdale, the show on The CW, has just finished filming its seventh and final season. The official Archie Comics Twitter account confirmed this, and the cast members shared photos to mark the end, giving fans a sense of closure after this thrilling ride that started a while ago. The last episode of Riverdale will air on Wednesday, August 23rd at 9/8c.
In the seventh season, things take an unexpected turn – it's set in the 1950s! The story continues from where the previous season left off. Jughead Jones, the mysterious character played by Cole Sprouse, finds himself stuck in a time of greasers and jukeboxes. He can't figure out how he got there and is trying hard to get back to his own time.
But here's where it gets even more interesting. Jughead's friends are also there, living as if they belong in the 1950s, just like their classic Archie Comics personas. Strangely, they have no idea they've been transported to the past.
