STEVEN SPIELBERG'S HELICOPTER WOOED WILL SMITH INTO 'MEN IN BLACK'

Will Smith, a well-known actor with roles in popular films like Independence Day, Bad Boys, and Men In Black, once had doubts about joining the Men In Black movie. During a chat on Kevin Hart's show, Will shared that even though he understood the concept of Men In Black, he was hesitant. He didn't want to do another alien-themed movie right after Independence Day.

However, producer Steven Spielberg was determined to change his mind. Spielberg went to great lengths to persuade Will, even sending a helicopter to bring him over for a face-to-face talk.

Recalling the moment, Will said, "Steven Spielberg sent a helicopter for me... It landed at his house, and he had me at 'hello'." They had a conversation, and Spielberg asked him directly, "Tell me why you don't want to make my movie."

Eventually, Will was convinced and starred in the first Men in Black alongside Tommy Lee Jones. He continued to appear in the sequels as well.

In a later Men In Black movie, Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson took the lead roles.

Recently, Will Smith also commented on the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
