MONSTA X'S JOOHONEY SETS THE DATE: CONFIRMED MILITARY ENLISTMENT IN LATE JULY!

Monsta X's rapper, Joohoney, has personally revealed his military enlistment date through a heartfelt letter to fans on the band's official fan cafe website. According to his announcement, Joohoney will commence his military service on July 24.

In the letter, Joohoney explained the reason behind sharing this news so close to the enlistment date. He expressed his deep appreciation for the time he spends with Monbebes (Monsta X's devoted fandom) and the members of Monsta X, emphasizing how precious and joyful these moments are to him. Consequently, he wants to make the most of this time and cherish it fully with all his fans.

In an update from the 28-year-old idol himself, Joohoney reassured fans that his military enlistment is not a permanent departure. He urged them not to worry and asked for a promise to remember him by looking at the sky every day and reflecting on the things he has said, suggesting they think of him at least once a day.

Under South Korean law, it is mandatory for all able-bodied men to serve a military term lasting between 18 and 21 months. Joohoney described this period as a "temporary comma," emphasizing that he will return with even more exciting things for his fans. He assured them that this is not an end but a pause leading to what comes next.

Following Shownu and Minhyuk, Joohoney will be the third member of Monsta X to enlist in the military.
