Jennifer Garner, known for her portrayal of Elektra Natchios, is making a comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she will be reprising her role in Deadpool 3.

Garner first brought Elektra to life in the 2003 film Daredevil, directed by Mark Steven Johnson and starring Ben Affleck as Daredevil/Matt Murdock. In the movie, Elektra was Matt's romantic interest. However, she later sought revenge against the superhero after he was wrongly accused of killing her father by the ruthless assassin Bullseye (played by Colin Farrell).

Following her role in Daredevil, Garner went on to reprise the character of Elektra in the spin-off film Elektra in 2005. Directed by Rob Bowman, the movie also featured Goran Višnji?, Will Yun Lee, and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.

Elektra, originally created by writer/artist Frank Miller, made her first appearance in Daredevil #168 in 1981. In the Netflix series Daredevil, the character was portrayed by Élodie Yung.

Garner's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Deadpool 3 won't be the only exciting comeback of a former superhero actor. Hugh Jackman is set to reprise his iconic role as Wolverine from the X-Men films by 20th Century Fox.
