WILL.I.AM DECLARES AI AS THE "MUSICAL RENAISSANCE OF OUR TIME"

Renowned musician Will.i.am, from the Black-Eyed Peas, has expressed his admiration for Artificial Intelligence (AI) as the catalyst for a new era in music. The 48-year-old artist is among those leading the charge in embracing songs generated by AI software, asserting that it has the capability to produce tunes on par with his own compositions. During an interview on Good Morning Britain, Will.i.am explained that while he penned hits like "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling," the machine has the potential to create equally amazing and original tracks.

According to Will.i.am, AI has the ability to offer "social commentary" in a manner similar to human creators. He explained, "It generated a new song, and it captured the essence of how I would have approached it."

He further expressed, "We are venturing into a distinctive realm. It represents a fresh renaissance." Nevertheless, Will.i.am highlighted the importance of implementing regulations on those developing AI models. Some musicians argue that AI cannot replace artists due to its lack of emotions.

The 35-year-old artist, known as Claire Elise Boucher, believes that allowing voices of artists to be used in AI projects could lead to the emergence of remarkable creations. In an interview, she expressed her views on copyright, stating, "Copyright sucks. I don't think art belongs to anyone."
