The English band Arctic Monkeys has regretfully canceled their upcoming concert in Ireland, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow. The band took to Instagram to share the news, explaining that they had to make this decision based on medical advice given to lead singer Alex Turner. The cancellation specifically pertains to their show at Marlay Park in Dublin.
Arctic Monkeys shared that their lead singer, Alex Turner, is currently dealing with acute laryngitis and has been advised by medical professionals to take some rest. Consequently, the band had to cancel their Dublin show, which caused disappointment among their fans. However, the band reassured ticket holders that refunds will be issued within six working days.
Despite the setback, Arctic Monkeys are still scheduled to headline the renowned Glastonbury Festival in England on Friday. In response to the cancellation news, the festival playfully tweeted, asking how much time is typically needed for laryngitis recovery, as they were curious about their headliner's condition.
Furthermore, the band's UK and Ireland tour is expected to conclude with their final show on Sunday at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow, Scotland.
