SZA FEELS LIKE SHE DISRESPECTED HER PARENTS WHEN SHE MADE THE DECISION TO LEAVE COLLEGE BEFORE COMPLETING HER STUDIES.
After attending Delaware State University and achieving excellent grades for two semesters studying marine biology, SZA, whose real name is Solána Imani Rowe, felt she disrespected her parents when she made the decision to drop out of college. The 33-year-old singer reflected on her choice, explaining how she lost interest in her studies and eventually stopped attending classes altogether.

Looking back, the Grammy Award winner expressed regret for the stress she caused her parents during that period. SZA acknowledged her disrespectful behavior, recalling instances where she told her mom that she would rather work at a strip club and hustle to pay for studio time than continue her education. She now recognizes the irrationality of her choices.

Despite her college departure, SZA's career took a positive turn when she signed with Top Dawg Entertainment in 2013, making her the label's first female artist. In 2017, she released her highly acclaimed debut album, Ctrl.

Currently, SZA is on the European leg of her SOS Tour, which began in February and is set to conclude on October 29 in Phoenix, Arizona.
