Since the break of One Direction in 2015, fans have been eagerly anticipating a reunion. During a recent interview, Niall Horan provided an honest response to Directioners' hopes of the superstar group reuniting for a performance.
The artist explained that the conversation about a One Direction reunion simply hasn't taken place yet. He acknowledged the band's remarkable legacy and clarified that discussing the reunion doesn't dampen the excitement. However, he emphasized that the answer remains unchanged because the discussion among the band members hasn't occurred.
Continuing the conversation, Niall Horan added, "We stay in touch regularly, but that specific discussion hasn't taken place. Who knows what it could be? It might resemble the Friends reunion, or maybe it could be a complete tour. It's uncertain, but I can confirm that we haven't talked about it yet."
Niall Horan reassured fans that he will be performing some beloved One Direction songs during his upcoming shows in support of his album, “The Show”. Emphasizing his appreciation for the songs, he expressed that they hold a special place for him and that he enjoys creating new versions of them.
The Show, Niall's highly anticipated third studio album, is set to release on June 9. His previous album, Heartbreak Weather, reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart in March 2020.
