According to Roseark, when the items were returned, a set of earrings and a leaf ring were damaged. The boutique sent invoices to the stylist for a total cost of $26,239.50, including interest, but the payment was not made, leading to the lawsuit. In addition to the damages, Roseark also claimed that Brett failed to return 66 other pieces of jewelry within the agreed time frame.

However, a source close to Nicki denied the allegations and stated that everything was returned on time. The source expressed skepticism about the lawsuit, suggesting that it may be an attempt by the jeweler to generate publicity and seek undeserved payment. They assured that Nicki would vigorously defend against the lawsuit.
