Warner Brothers' upcoming movie, The Flash, stars Ezra Miller, who has been embroiled in several controversies over the past couple of years, making the film a challenging subject for the studio.
To provide some context, Ezra has faced multiple arrests in Hawaii for assault, accusations of harassment in Germany, allegations of choking someone in Iceland, claims of hosting children and their mother in an unsafe environment in Vermont, felony burglary charges in Vermont, and accusations of an inappropriate relationship with a young individual they met at the age of 12. Due to these issues, it was uncertain whether the film would ever see the light of day. However, The Flash is indeed set to release in theaters on June 16, and there is even a possibility of a sequel.
The film's director, Andy Muschietti, has stated that he has no intentions of recasting Ezra if a sequel is made. In an interview with The Discourse podcast, Andy mentioned, "If [a sequel] happens, yes [Ezra would play The Flash]. I don't think there's anyone that can portray that character as effectively as they did. While other interpretations of the character are great, this particular vision of the character was excellently executed by Ezra. The two Barrys— it feels like a character tailor-made for them."
