Ke$ha has entered rehab.

The 'We R Who We R' singer has released a statement to confirm that she is seeking treatment for an "eating disorder".

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," she said.

Ke$ha went on to say: "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder... to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."

The popstar has issued no further comment on social media about her stay in rehab as of yet.

Ke$ha has become known for her outlandish stage costumes and occasionally overt sexual content in her song lyrics.

Her debut album Animal topped the US chart back in 2010.
