In this real-time thriller set on a hijacked airplane during a seven-hour flight, the 50-year-old actor renowned for his role in "Luther" portrays Sam Nelson, a skilled negotiator in the corporate world who must step up and utilize all his cunning to save the lives of the passengers.

The tension escalates in the trailer as Sam confidently declares, "Let me make you an offer." Joining Idris in the cast is Archie Panjabi, previously seen in "The Good Wife," who portrays a counterterrorism officer involved in the investigation as the plane is hijacked.

Idris Elba not only stars in the series but also serves as its executive producer. "Hijack" marks the debut of his first-look deal with Apple TV+ and his production company, Green Door Pictures.
