The MTV Movie & TV awards took place last night in Santa Monica, California. While typically this is a night everyone’s looking forwards to, many celebrities refused to attend the event including their host Drew Barrymore who refused to take to the stage as a sign of protest against the WGA and as a stand of solidarity with the writers who are currently on strike.

It’s definitely turbulent times for the American TV & Movies industry as over 11,000 writers of the Writers Guild of America have taken to call out the injustices happening within the industry and have successfully ensued a strike amongst writers and have put the industry at a very prominent stand still.

But as they say The show must go on, and go on it did.

With lots of adjustment here & there the awards ceremony was still a success.
