ED SHEERAN THREATENS TO QUIT MUSIC IF HE LOSES LAWSUIT!

Ed sheeran has been in hot hot water recently being sued left right and center over copyright infringement. The most recent being by the heirs of Ed Townsend the co-writer of Marvin Gaye’s 1973 classic ‘Let’s Get It On’.
The Brit is currently up on trial at a Manhattan Federal Court and it looks like a losing battle for the ‘Thinking Out loud’ singer.

Well as it turns out Ed Sheeran is getting quite tired of all the allegations and having to suit up to head to courts day-in and day-out. He’s made a statement about everything that’s going on saying he’s even considering quitting music because he’s just so tired of the drama.

He in fact threatened to do so if he loses the ongoing lawsuit.

"If that happens, I'm done, I'm stopping."

He expressed his frustration over the allegations saying "I find it really insulting to devote my whole life to being a performer and a songwriter and have someone diminish it." He went on to accuse the lawyers saying they are trying to "diminish my success" given that the song he’s being sued over ‘Thinking  Out Loud’ was in fact the song that won him his very first Grammy all the way back in 2014.

The family of Ed Townsend is looking for a settlement of $100Million and have so far been given a settlement agreement of $7.5Million by the qualifying jury of Manhattan.
