Meghan Trainor is under a whole lot of fire for her thoughts on teachers!

The soon to be mom of two had long-time controversial social media personality Trisha Paytas (who’s mom to 8-month-old Malibu) on her podcast Workin’ On It over the weekend. The two spoke about raising their children, their motherly ways and growing up in America. They also touched on a very sensitive subject; raising kids in America & the school system which is currently plagued by an epidemic of mass shootings. Meghan goes on to say “We’re homeschooling our kids,” “Everyone on TikTok is like, ‘This is what it's like having kids in America. I have a bulletproof backpack.’ I was like, f all that.”

Paytas added to the conversation saying that she also worries about bullies & teachers to which Meghan remarks “f teachers dude”. She then shares that both her & her husband (Daryl Sabara – Spy Kids) were bullied really badly in school and would never want her kids to experience that. Trisha agreed saying she also experienced bullying.  

Having heard Meghan’s statement lots of teachers took to tiktok with anger calling her out.

Meghan has finally issued an apology through a video saying

Teachers of TikTok and teachers of the world, I recently said ‘F teachers’ on the podcast and it’s not how I feel. I was fired up because we were talking about how sending your kid to school here in America is so horrific,”, she went on to explain “did not mean [to say that about] all teachers. I love teachers, I fight for teachers. I think they have the hardest job and they are the most underpaid. They are the most unappreciated when they literally raise all of us. I don’t want to make excuses, I just want to [say] I am so sorry.”

“I am so sorry to any teachers I made feel bad and I will remind myself that my words definitely could have a consequence and I will be more careful.”

Fans and viewers on tiktok are still unhappy with the apology saying it seemed disingenuous.
