After month of patiently waiting for the official announcement for the 7^th May Coronation Day performers lineup, we’ve finally got it folk!

It’s been a turbulent few months watching artist after artists drop-out or full on reject  performing at King Charles’ Coronation which is happening on the 6^th of May. With big names such as Elton John, Spice Girls & Adele refusing to be part of The King’s big day, most people started wondering and some later-on worrying about who will actually be up for performing at the grand occasion.

Turns out help was on the way from the other side of the pond. The answer to the burning question lied not in the homeland but in America (and other territories). Being unable to convince any British artists to take part in The Royal Coronation, the royals have set their eyes on the Americas and specifically on one Reality singing competition. American Idol is a lot of things, one being having a stella group of musicians on the judging panel. Two of whom will be performing on the 7^th, that is none other than Katy Perry & Lionel Ritchie.

Joining them is Italian vocal powerhouse Andrea Bocelli whom I’m sure most people are excited to see perform. Joining him on stage is Welsh music veteran Sir Bryn Terfel in a duet that will no-doubt leave everyone speechless.

Of the very short list the only other Brit to perform is Freya Ridings.

While most won’t have a problem picturing Andrea Bocelli’s rendition of ‘La Vie En Rose’ or Lionel Ritchie’s sweet melodies of ‘Hello’ echoing at the Royal Palace, it is quite the spectacle to imagine a Royal staging of 'California Girls'.
