The awards. The one that everyone waits for.
Above every other award show over every other accolade board, over everythining eles, the oscars is the one that everyone waits for.
The 95th Academy Awards took place in full glam this morning at The Dolby Theater in Hollywood California. Every big name in the movie making industry marked their presence on this year’s champagne carpet.
Taking a step away from the traditional Red Carpet the Oscars saw a gorgeous champagne colored carpet rolled out. (although they probably didn’t think about all the mud marks everyone were gonna leave, perhaps it’ll be memorialized in a museum)
The champagne carpet brought another problem, that being stylists of actors didn’t take notes! Too many young beautiful women turned up to the Awards in cream & white dresses, it definitely did not help that the walls were also white.
Now on to the Awards! While other award shows have the tendency to follow popular opinions and give out awards to crowd favorites the Academy has historically been known for staying clear from the norm. Everyone was on their toes wondering if the Oscars will stick to their guns this year too by awarding the underdogs or will they favor the crowd.
Turns out for the most part they did stick to their traditions, but as it goes it wasn’t so hard to do both given that most of the movies nominated for the award were fan favorites, but niche enough for the academy.
Sweeping not only The Oscars but award season as a whole, Everything Everywhere All At Once won the most awards with a whopping 7 (out of the 11 nods they received) and a total 264 awards altogether.
Michelle Yeoh took the award for Lead Actress in a Motion Picture while Brendan Fraser made a stunning comeback by grabbing the award for lead Actor in a Motion Picture. And of course Everything Everywhere All At Once was crowed Best Picture.
