RM'S ON A JOURNEY OF SELF LUV

RM from BTS is opening up about his struggles with his self image afte5r having been the forefront of the kpop boyband for a decade.

The seven member group that’s comprised of RM, Jin, JiMin, J-Hope, Suga, V & JungKook formed by Hybe Entertainment (formally known as BigHit) took the world by storm just a few years after their debut. 10 years since, the boys are on top of their game and are now taking an extended break to focus on their solo careers while the members complete their mandatory military service.

RM came out with his very first studio album last year: Indigo which peaked to top position on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified double platinum after having sold over 700,000 copies in South Korea alone.

Now that his boys are out doing their own thing leader-nim is taking some well deserved time for himself. He says he’s on a journey of discovering himself saying  “After 10 years as a member of BTS, I didn’t know who I was and I wanted to know.” He continued “I started out as a teenage rapper, then BTS came along and it was all very intense. Now that the group is inactive, I’ve gone back to thinking about the beginnings and the real reasons why I joined BTS.”

He says he’s excited for the boys to get back together once the enlistment period is over in an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine he stated "I think BTS will make it. It will come together again when we finish our military service, and we will look for new synergies between us to enter a second phase," though he does admit that he knows that nothing lasts forever.

Until their comeback though, RM will continue to discover hidden parts of himself, indulging in past times of viewing art & museums.

He told Spain’s EFE “I wanted to see artworks by Goya, Velazquez and Picasso for inspiration and I’ve been to the Prado and other museums."
