The Idol, an American Drama series created by Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd hit the small screen recently garnering views from all across the globe thanks to the directors clever casting. Casting the like of Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie from BlackPink and many other big names from all over the media industry.
The Idol was set to be HBO's next Euphoria but unfortunately for everyone attached to the show it looks like it's taken a turn for the worst. A show that was to spotlight female empowermet has turn into something torturous, for the characters as well as the cast (not forgetting the viewer) says writer for Rolling Stones Magazine.
The story dubbed the “sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood” by HBO themselves follows Jocelyn (Depp) who’s trying to waddle through the waves of the music industry when she meets Tedros (The Weeknd) who’s the owner of one of LA’s hottest party spots. Jocelyn join him on his ventures when she discovers he runs a secret cult similar to NXIVM & Scientology.
The Idol is set to stream live on HBO sometime this year.
