IS THE WORLD READY FOR BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY 2??

The Gold Standard, The Bar, The Benchmark for biographical motion pictures; Bohemian Rhapsody.
The author of this article would like to you, the reader to know that she has seen the Oscar winning movie 16 times in theatres. (why? I don’t know why..)

Anyway…. Brian May the lead guitarist of Queen the band the biopic is based off of spoke about the possibility of a sequel to Bohemian Rhapsody saying that while BR the first one was perfect (yes Mr. May, yes it was!) there’s just so much that happened after LiveAid and stopping their story at that point just doesn’t seem right.

Following the 1985 charity concert held in benefit for the AIDs pandemic the band took a very different turn with their artistry & personal lives. Freddy Mercury the frontman of Queen began his own battle against the virus.

In the interview May stated "'Bohemian Rhapsody' climaxed in 'Live Aid' and I suppose implicitly Freddie starting to deal with his AIDS, but an awful lot happened between the end of the film to the end of the glory days of Queen."

He also mentioned how he would go for round two just so he’d get the chance to work with the extraordinarily talented young actors who played them; Rami Malek who played Freddie Mercury, Joe Mazello – John Deacon, Ben Hardy – Roger Taylor & Gwilym Lee – Brian May.

"We’ve been talking about it. I felt proud of it and the people who played us were just phenomenal. it’s so tempting to do the sequel – it would be worth it just to work with those boys again.” Said the 75-year-old.

He also said that Bohemian Rhapsody was his and Roger Taylor’s way of paying tribute to Freddie who passed away in 1991.

"I loved the fact we were able to do it for Freddie. That really means a lot and I felt we did it in the right way, and in the right spirit. Of course we were represented in the movie because we were a group, but it was really all about Freddie, and I think we did him good."
