There’s a reason people say “some things are best left alone”
Warner Bros. is about to play real risky with their choices.
Two decades ago Peter Jackson brought the visions of J R R Tolkien to life and to the big screen with his movie franchise Lord of The Rings. Twenty something years later fans are just as mesmerized by the movies as they were watching it for the first time as children.
The beloved franchise has made such a cultural impact on the Millennial generation that the thought of them remaking it brings devastating shock to everyone, as the idea of anyone playing the iconic characters other than the original cast is just not something you can wrap your head around.
But as life goes, we don’t always get what we want.
Warner Bros. has made expedited plans on revamping the franchise. Instead of simply remaking the movies Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy the newly appointed studio leaders at Warner bros. Discovery says that they have recently secured a broker for a multipart movie series based on J R R Tolkien’s epic fantasy novel.
The project will be developed by New Line Cinema, who’s responsible for The Conjuring, Black Adam, A Nightmare on Elm Street and the original run of the Lord of The Rings franchise. While no filmmakers have been attached to the project yet, peter Jackson in an interview said that Warner Bros. and Embracer have been keeping him and his main “Lord of the Rings” collaborators Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens updated though the entire process saying they “have kept us in the loop every step of the way.”
he further stated “We look forward to speaking with them further to hear their vision for the franchise moving forward,”
