It’s happening. It’s finally happening!!

Disneytoon Studios first confirmed a Lilo and Stitch live action movie five years ago but for the longest time it seemed like the movie was on the back burners until last July.

The movie franchise as of now consists of Lilo & Stitch, Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch has a Glitch, Stitch! The Movie, Leroy & Stitch and three animated TV shows.

The story follows Lilo and her old sister Nani has they navigate life in Hawaii when a illegal alien crashes (quite literally) into their lives. Stitch turns out to be the galaxy’s mot wanted extraterrestrial being. Through her love, faith and unwavering belief in ohana, the Hawaiian concept of family, Lilo helps unlock Stitch's heart and gives him the ability to care for someone else.

The very first actor for the live action retelling has finally been announced and it’s none other than Zach Galifianakis!

The Hangover (1, 2 & 3) actor is set to play a mystery character and while no details about the character is disclosed yet, people are guessing he will most probably play one of the many aliens that appeared in the original animations. Some fans are speculating that he might be playing Jumba Jookiba given the uncanny resemblance
