CASTING 'MICHAEL'
Casting the King of Pop is a harder task that… well pretty much anything you can think of!

A biopic depicting the life of Michael Jackson had been in the pipeline for years and have even been stashed multiple times due to the difficulties of casting just the right person as Michael.

While it partly being due to the amount of skill and talent needed to represent the man, it was mainly due to the correct representation of his physical being.

MJ born Michael Joseph Jackson made his music debut with his sibling by being part of The Jackson 5, winning the hearts of everyone who had heard their music. In his teen years MJ rode off on his own to pursue a solo career, which of course was the right thing to do. In 1983 at the age of 25 his dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein discovered that Michael suffers from Vitiligo which cause his to lose the dark pigment from his skin.

This brings up the obvious issue with casting Michael.
The biopic that is finally in the works under the directorship of Antoine Fuqua which is produced by Lionsgate has landed on who they call the perfect match, Jaafar Jackson the son of Jermaine Jackson and nephew to Michael. The 27-year-old up er is set to play his uncle from his youth all the way up to his untimely death due to a cocktail of sedatives administered by his physician Dr. Conrad Murray who was on trial for it. Michael, which has a script by John Logan and being produced by Graham King, who turned the Freddie Mercury Queen story into the blockbuster Bohemian Rhapsody. GK Films will produce alongside the co-executors of Jackson’s estate, John Branca and John McClain will not shy away from all the controversies of Michael’s life including the numerous child sexual abuse allegations filed against him.
