ELON LEAVING TWITTER????

Twitter is going a little haywire these days after Elon Musk very unceremoniously bought over the company. Their most recent development was that they were banning the promotion of other social media platforms on twitter. The decision came Sunday morning that users are no longer allowed to do “free promotion of certain social media platforms.”

The news comes along with more and more tech-journalists continue to be banned or suspended from the platform for covering Elon Musk, seemingly without violating any rules.

“We recognize that many of our users are active on other social media platforms. However, we will no longer allow free promotion of certain social media platforms on Twitter. Specifically, we will remove accounts created solely for the purpose of promoting other social platforms and content that contains links or usernames for the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr and Post.”

“We still allow cross-posting content from any social media platform. Posting links or usernames to social media platforms not listed above are also not in violation of this policy,”

“At both the Tweet level and the account level, we will remove any free promotion of prohibited 3rd-party social media platforms, such as linking out (i.e. using URLs) to any of the below platforms on Twitter, or providing your handle without a URL,” The Official Twitter Support account wrote.

But they have now reversed the decision, the company has deleted all tweets regarding the policy and the support page is no longer accessible.

And to really put everyone in the holiday spirit Elon Musk then went on his personal account and tweeted a poll asking whether he should “step down as the head of Twitter” he followed it with “Those who want power are the ones who least deserve it.”
Some would say the poll was tighter that some presidential elections as the masses divided in their opinions.

Of the 16,885,139 people that have voted so far,
57.5% voted Yes while 42.5% voted No, which gives musk enough leeway to stay.
