Harrison James Armstrong, professionally known as Aitch has proven once more that he’s a real G!
The rapper from Manchester who collaborated with Ed Sheeran on ‘My G’, wrote the song for his sister Gracie who born with Down Syndrome.
It has been revealed that a chunk of money that was originally kept for the budget for the music video of ‘My G’ which currently boasts an impressive 10Million views has been donated by the 23-year-old to the Down Syndrome Association of the UK to help with the research and care of persons affected by the genetic disorder.
In an interview with CapitalFM he spoke about the initiative saying "When we got the budget, I just thought there's no need to spend all that money and thankfully I was lucky enough to meet people from the Down's Syndrome Association who let us use their building, so we just decided to do it like that."
‘My G’ features on Aitch’s debut album ‘Close to Home’
He also spoke about Ed Sheeran appearing on it stating "I sent it to Ed and he loved it. I met Ed after I guested on 'Take Me Back To London', a song he remixed. He’s my sister’s favourite. It’s going to be emotional."
“A lot of different emotions went into this I can’t wait to share it with u lot! Came this far without dropping an album and that’s all because of you, thank you for being patient with me […] let’s see how far this one takes us.”
