The hyung of Bangtan Sonyeondan Kim Seok Jin is officially off to the army!

After turning 30 on the 4^th, Jin was officially on the straight edge of military enlistment. All Korean men between the ages of 18-32 must complete mandatory military service, starting off at a training center and then moving up to a service station between Army, Police, Air Force & Navy, which typically last between 18-36 months.

Jin began his military conscription yesterday at the Yeoncheon army base in the Northern Gyeonggi province reportedly entering the 5^th Infantry Division.

All the members of BTS were present at the event to bid a temporary farewell to their hyun, who now sports a newly shaved buzzcut. Jin shared a picture of his new do on his personal WeVerse with the caption “Cuter than I expected.It’s time for a curtain call”, his group members followed suit posting messages of their own.

Jhope posted a picture of the both of them with the caption “let’s be healthy and happy hyung I Love You!” and the official BTS ig posted a picture of the seven of them at the enlistment saying “Our hyung!! Come back safely!! Love you.”

The rest of the members are due to follow sequentially, while RM, JHope, V, and JungKook are set to enlist in active duty, Suga will be conscripted in Public Service due to a shoulder surgery he had back in 2020.
