There’s a new pretty boy in Korea that’s stealing everyone’s heart and it’s not a kpop idol! 

 With this year’s FIFA World Cup currently on the go, the South Korean team has been gaining a lot of attention, specifically ‘Player no. 9’ aka Cho Gue-Sung, the current forwards on the South Korean National team. He’s garnered so much attention that he single handedly turned a Korean Football club’s official TikTok account into a Cho Gue Sung stan (fan) account. 

 Now the question lies, who is Player no. 9? 

 Born in Ansan on the 25^th of January 1998 to Pro-Volleyball player mom, Gue-Sung & his sisters spent their childhood in the coastal city in the North West of South Korea. He’s been playing football ever since elementary school and started out as a defensive midfielder. However while at university he had at position change to sticker which lead him to actually perform better. This lead him to play club rugby, he currently plays as a forward for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

 He joined the South Korean National Team last year in 2021 for the same position as forward and the 2022 FIFA World Cup is his first time at the World Cup.
