Hayley Atwell who portrays S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Margaret Carter, recently went on to talk about her character’s future in the MCU.

She spoke about Peggy is never near and dear to her heart after giving her life for over a decade.

“It’s so funny, because, you know, I did that 10 years ago, and I love her because I love the people, and you never know,”

She also spoke on the latest development of Peggy in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where she is presented as Captain Carter and is very unfortunately sliced in two by her very own shield thanks to the Scarlet Witch.

“It was definitely not, you know, the trajectory that I see for Peggy. I would definitely like her to have more to do,” she admitted, (but) “It depends on what Marvel, and what the audiences, want,” she said.

“She lives in the world of people that have taken her into their heart. And that’s beautiful. But it’s kind of like: yeah, you can’t control the impact a particular role has on the rest of the world.”
