Gone are the days of Eric Forman and his group of weird, gangly best friends who were almost always up to no good and it is now time for the next generation of Formans to wreak havoc across Wisconsin
But! The (grand) parents are back! Repricing their roles as Mr. & Mrs. Forman are Debra Jo Rupp & Kurtwood Smith and home is open for the grandkids! The series will be set in 1995 approximately 20 years since the og cast were teenagers. The new series starts of with Leia Forman the daughter of Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon) who visits her grandparents for summer and makes friends with the local kids and form a new generation of Point Place Kids.
Seven of the original cast have been confirmed to return, starting off with the grandparents of course, Debra Jo Rupp & Kurtwood Smith. Joining them is their beloved (ahem..) son Topher Grace and his wife(?) Lauran Pinciotti. Puppy love duo (who are married in real life) Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher will be making guest appearances too. And we cannot forget everyone’s favorite Foreign Exchange Student FEZ! Wilmer Valderrama is still part of the OG cool kid gang. Unfortunately we will not be seeing Steven Hyde any time soon as Danny Masterson is currently drowning in lawsuits after two women took him to courts accusing of rape.
Joining the original cast are the front runners of the new show, Callie Haverda who plays Leia Forman, and her very own eccentric goofy group of friends Ashley Aufderheide as Gwen, Mace Coronel as Jay, Maxwell Acee Donovan as Nate, Reyn Doi as Ozzie and Sam Morelos as Nikk. While there isn’t much revealed about the new cast, some say there are certain “facial feature” similarities between the original cast and them.
That 90s Show premiers on Netflix on 19th January 2023.
