Black Panther sequel Wakanda Forever premiered this past Friday (11.11) across the world
and is off to a strong start with the possibility of breaking some record.
The Marvel movie opened in theatres with a sky rocketing $330 Million in Box Office.
According to Variety the movie grossed a staggering $180 Million in the US alone,
breaking the previously held record of $158 Million by Hunger Games: Catching Fire back in 2013.
While critics say it’ll be hard for Wakanda Forever to catch up with 2018’s Black Panther
let alone beat it, still the movie has the second strongest opening weekend of 2022,
second only to Marvel’s Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
To top that off, critics are also predicting the high chances of Angela Bassett who plays Queen Ramonda
being nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars during the 2023 Awards Season.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is out in theatre island wide right now.
