Everyone's favorite Beverly Hills cop is back in action after almost a decade of being away from the big screen. Eddy Murphy has finally ended his dry spell with acting and is currently filming the next installment of Beverly Hills Cop in Downtown Los Angeles.
Beverly Hills Cop is a buddy cop action comedy movie franchise, with the very first movie having been released back in 1984 when Murphy was an amateur starting out acting at just 23 years old. With it’s two sequels being released in ’87 & ’94.
In 2019, Paramount Pictures made a one-time license deal with Netflix to create a fourth film with the option of a sequel. It was later announced that Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah were to direct the movie but they later pulled out as they wanted to focus on Batgirl which Warner Bros have now pulled the plug on.
In April this year Mark Molloy was announced as the director of the fourth movie while Will Beall penned the script.
Joining Murphy on screen is Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige.
As of right now the plot, setting, characters and other details haven’t yet been disclosed to the public but all three parties were spotted filming together on Wednesday.
