Justice has finally been served, at least in the form of monetary award although some might argue
that there will never be a true form of justice over how much wife and mother Vanessa Bryant has
lost.
In her case against Los Angeles County where Vanessa Bryant sued the Sherif’s Department after
finding out first responders at the scene of the crash shared pictures of the site with unauthorised
people, a verdict was given in favour of Bryant and her co-plaintiff and both were awarded
$31Million in damages. According to Deadline, a judge ordered the county to pay out $16 million
to the Bryant family and $15 million to Chris Chester, whose wife Sarah and 13-year-old
daughter Payton also died.

Earlier this week Vanessa gave a testament about the incident where she broke down in tears while
saying, “I just remember not wanting to react because the girls were in the room,” Vanessa said, “I
bolted out of the house and I broke down and cried and I just wanted to run down the block and
scream,” Vanessa continued. “I can’t escape my body. I can’t escape what I feel.”.
