Well Twitter sure thinks so!

Twitter is attributing their recent earnings drop to their current legal battle with Mr. Musk. The social media site with 450Million monthly active users is reporting a loss of $270Million within the last business quarter which ended in June. Twitter cited the Advertising industry as well as Musk's acquisition of the company as the reason for this downfall. 

Elon Musk entered into an agreement to buy Twitter in April but a few months later announced that he would be terminating the deal stating that the company was in breach of their merger agreement. He further explained that Twitter hadn’t provided enough information about the bots and spam accounts of their platform nor did they give him and his team enough leeway to carry out their own investigations. A few days after which the company announced they will be suing Musk for $44Million in order to complete the purchase. 

While Twitter has been seeing significant monetary loses, the company did see a growth in users with nearly 9 million new users.
