TARON EGERTON'S GOT SOME BIG CLAWS TO FILL IF HE TAKES OVER HUGH JACKMAN'S ICONIC WOLVERINE

There might be a new captain terror in town! Ever since it was announced that Marvel had
acquired the rights to The X-Men franchise speculations have been rife about which characters
will make their debut in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), one name in particular has been
that of Wolverine and linked to him has been Kingsman & Bodyguard star Taron Egerton. And
now Mr. Egerton has just come out of the studio after having spoken to Marvel Studios President
Kevin Feige about strapping on the muttonchops of the beloved Marvel character popularized by
none other than Hugh Jackman. In an interview earlier this year he compared playing the
character to playing James Bond, "It would be exciting to play a role where you play to by such a
huge audience. Those movies are the most-watched movies in the world. It's a great thrill and it's
a great part. But there's no truth in it. Very flattering, though" In another interview he
commented saying "I don't think it would be wrong to say that," he said. "I'd be excited but I'd be
apprehensive as well, because Hugh is so associated with the role that I’d wonder if it'd be very
difficult for someone else to do it... But hopefully if it does come around, they'll give me a shot."
