After eight years of marriage, Ali Wong and her husband Justin Hakuta are splitting.On Wednesday, a spokeswoman for the 39-year-old comedian confirmed the news (13 April).After dating for a few years, the pair married in November 2014 in San Francisco City Hall. Mari and Nikki are their two daughters.

 

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2019, Wong discussed her marriage. "I didn't want a formal wedding because I'm a stand-up comedian, and I was like, 'I don't want to go down the aisle for 60 seconds while people stare at me in silence.' That would give me PTSD," she explained. Wong discussed how Hakuta's family forced her to sign a prenup at her Netflix program Hard Knock Wife in 2018.She said of her marriage to Hakuta, "No one could have imagined this conclusion." "So much so that his family made me sign a prenup before we married."
