Bieber discussed striking a balance between her modeling career and her life as an entrepreneur in the interview, since she recently launched her skincare line Rhode, which was inspired by her mother and grandmother.
"As a child, I remember my mother dragging [me] out of the bath and bathing me from head to toe in hydration, hydration, hydration, with a strong focus on skin health. It all began with my grandma, who taught my mum, who in turn taught me "When asked why she decided to establish a skincare brand, Bieber said, "It just came to me." She explained that perfecting the formulae for the Rhode items required time and a lot of market testing.
"I was ordering ridiculous amounts of skin care and trying everything from high-end to low-cost to mid-range. And I discovered that the most tried-and-true products were the well-formulated, reasonably priced items that I could tell people were returning to, and that's what I kept returning to as well. The initial focus is on keeping the skin's moisture barrier intact. I've given it to a variety of beauty artists to try on their clients, and they've all raved about it "she stated. Bieber is well aware of the competition her skincare and cosmetics business will face from celebs and those who have their own lines.
"I think we're going into it as a team understanding that people are weary of seeing brand after brand after brand from different people and faces and celebrities," Bieber continued."Because the market is so busy and saturated, I have definitely had my anxieties. And, of course, I've had to have faith in myself and our brand to believe it'll be something new and exciting."
