The family has chosen to re-release the picture in theatres to mark the film's 25th anniversary. "'Selena,' starring Jennifer Lopez and Edward James Olmos, was released in theatres nationally 25 years ago TODAY," read a post on Selena's verified Facebook profile. "A tribute to an icon, her legacy, and her music. Beginning April 7th, "Selena" will be distributed in theatres around the country."
