For Miley Cyrus, it was a party in the United States, but a nightmare in the sky over South America.The 29-year-old singer-songwriter tweeted a horrifying video of her plane getting struck by lightning during a travel to Asunción, Paraguay, on Wednesday morning, which she said grounded the jet ahead of her performance at the Asunciónico music festival.

 

"To all of my admirers who have been concerned since hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was trapped in a severe storm and was struck by lightning "She penned a poem in response to the video. "After an emergency landing, my crew, band, friends, and family who were all traveling with me are all safe. Unfortunately, we were unable to travel into Paraguay."
