TREVOR NOAH SAYS TO 'COUNSEL' NOT 'CANCEL' KANYE WEST FOLLOWING GRAMMYS BAN
Following the revelation that Kanye West will be forbidden from performing at the 2022 Grammys, Trevor Noah said on social media that the rapper should be counseled rather than canceled. For the second year in a row, Noah is presenting the Grammy Awards. Last week, the "Daily Show" host and West made headlines after the rapper was banned from Instagram for 24 hours for a slur he used towards Noah, who had previously criticized West's behavior toward ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
"Over time, Kanye has gotten more and more confrontational in his attempts to reclaim Kim," Noah remarked on "The Daily Show" on March 15, before suggesting that West get professional help.
Noah explained, "It touches on something that is more sensitive and serious than people would like to admit." "I see a lady who wants to live her life free of harassment from an ex-boyfriend, ex-husband, or ex-whatever... Although you may not feel sorry for Kim since she is wealthy and well-known, what she is going through is horrible to witness. It also highlights the difficulties that many women face when they decide to leave [toxic relationships]."
