Shay Mitchell and Matte Babel are expecting their second child.
On Monday, the 34-year-old actress announced on Instagram that she and her partner, 41, are expecting their second child together.
Mitchell revealed the news a week after she opened up on Instagram about the passing of her grandmother, whom she referred to as "Gram."
"The amazing circle of life is saying goodbye to a loved one while concurrently enjoying the joy of receiving another into this world," she wrote Monday, with photographs of her baby bulge. "It's also the most difficult season I've ever had. I can't help but believe that this was all part of the universe's plan all along, knowing that I'd need something other than death to help me cope with the loss of one of my closest friends."
Mitchell sees her pregnancy as "evidence that love, life, and loss can all exist profoundly at the same moment," she said.
