Gunna has had a busy year, scoring his second Billboard 200 album No. 1 with DS4Ever and preparing to play at DirecTV and Maxim's Super Bowl LVI weekend party in Los Angeles on February 11.
Despite his increasing fame, the rapper continues to give back to his birthplace of Atlanta, Georgia. Gunna partnered with Goodr, a sustainable food waste management and hunger relief organization, to build a free grocery shop at Ronald E. McNair Middle School, where he was a student.
More than 900 pupils are served by Gunna's Goodr Grocery Store and Drip Closet, which is filled with the rapper's favorite foods and snacks, as well as fresh vegetables and toiletries. The store's "Drip Closet" section sells clothing, footwear, and even Nike Air Jordans.
"I have the utmost respect for Gunna's commitment to giving back to the neighborhood where he grew up." In a statement, Jasmine Crowe, the founder and CEO of Goodr, said of the cooperation. "In the last few of years, Goodr and Gunna have partnered together for the greater good on multiple occasions. His dedication is admirable."
